When examining a component such as a solar panel there is an option to replace the component. It is always enable even though you may not have a solar panel.
The use of chemistry in this game is one of its best aspects, but the management of the three vital elements, Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen, can yet be improved.
The current oxygenator functions by electrolizing water to produce hydrogen and oxygen. The Oxygen is saved, the Hydrogen is presumably released. This means that as Oxygen is consumed, Hydrogen is taken out of the system. This is inherently water-negative. As a result I would reccomend a different mechanism for oxygen production.
Instead of consuming our limited water supply, we should take in CO2 from the surrounding atmosphere. Put it through a co2 filter, and you get breathable oxygen. It's dependent on co2 filters, but they degrade rather slowly.
Instead of consuming the limited water supply, it enables a far more stable regulation of gasses.
If you use the Feedback menu item in the main menu, it will open the default browser. However, for some reason Steam considers this browser instance as a Steam application, and applies the Steam Overlay on it: when the browser starts, you will see the overlay hint popup in the bottom right of the browser window, and you can open the Overlay onto the browser window by using the hotkey assigned to it in Steam. As long as this browser instance is open, Steam will still report you playing Lacuna Passage even if the game itself isn't actually running (anymore).
The large solar panel at the "3 solar panels" location can't be picked up (gives a "not enough inventory space" message when left clicked) unless there's a lot more free space than what would be required. The panel weighs 10 kgs, but I could not pick it up at 40 kgs carry weight (10 kgs free, nor at 38 kgs to be sure that I have more than 10, not exactly 10) until I lowered my carry weight below 20 kgs (with 30 kgs free capacity I still could not pick it up, with 30.1 kgs free I finally could) by dropping items into a drop container. The other two panels at this location may have similar issues, but I ran out of test locations for checking that (I only had the large panel left at the only site I had available in the playthrough).
You can remove hab system components (eg. filters, heaters, hoses, even heavy things like solar panels, anything that you remove via the maintenance screen of the Datapad) ) into your inventory via the Equipment Maintenance / Remove Component function regardless if you have enough inventory space to hold the resulting item. The item gets added to inventory even though total carry weight will exceed the maximum carrying capacity.
had lots of water bottles then they went :( was this to up the curve also having trouble with rpg units any hints tips for survival
When changing password or logging in, the site is throwing encrypted warnings for me in Firefox. Saying that the password is being sent in the clear. The password page should be encrypted in order to protect passwords, etc, prevent future spam.
When entering habitat alpha the first time and accessing the panel I am unable to navigate to the menu on the left side of the screen using the arrow keys - I had to press E which creates a jarring UI experience because it switches to the datapad view when executing the "exit" montage.
