Pressing "esc" to close datapad while driving disables driving controls
This bug has a simple repro, so I'll just post that. Let me know if you need more details.
Repro:
1. Hop in the PRT and start driving
2. Open the datapad via E or one of the app key mappings
3. Press "Esc" to close the datapad
4. Attempt to steer, brake, accelerate or turn.
Result: no vehicle control
Woraround to regain vehicle control: open the datapad and press E to close it.

Darn I meant to categorize this as a bug. Sorry about that.
It sounds like being the result of the overall issues with the datapad in the current version; if you put it away the "wrong" way, it locks some of the controls until you take it out and put it away a second time the "right" way this time. Not sure if it is, but it does sound similar.
This should be fixed for the next update. Thanks for reporting.
