Reserve power shows negative number and will take power from suit instead of supply it.

wrongwayjerry 7 years ago updated by Tyler Owen (Lead Developer) 7 years ago 8

I had gone to sleep and at some point the power had drained. When i woke up and checked the status the reserve power was showing a negative number. How can you use more electricity than what is available. The system was charging so the number was going back to zero. Finally, if you charge your suit when the number is negative it will remove power from your suit setting the habitat to zero.

The new habitat status display: power in the habitat was off but electricity showed green

wrongwayjerry 7 years ago updated by Tyler Owen (Lead Developer) 7 years ago 1

I noticed the new habitat health status display on the wall next to the inner door. The Habitat Power was showing as off (when i checked the terminal) and yet the status showed "green". I guess this is just a reflection of the "electrical charging" status? It seemed odd to show green when all the lights were off.

Sun lens flare visible during storms

Mr. Fusion 7 years ago updated by Tyler Owen (Lead Developer) 7 years ago 1

The Sun lens flare is visible (and appears to be at full brightness) even when the Sun itself isn't (unless that small bright spot where the flare originates from is the Sun, but I'm not convinced it should be visible like that at / near the densest part of a storm) due to the density / darkness of a storm.

It's also worth noting that the Sun is still fully reflected on sufficiently reflective surfaces (such as the porthole window and other parts of the airlock door) even when it's not visible at all on the sky due to the dust storm effects fully covering it. It also still casts rather distinct shadows, and the terrain shadow transition (when the Sun goes below a mountain range and the shadow line moves across the terrain) is also much more noticeable than what would feel "right" with the Sun being fully occluded by all the dust.

Reoxygenator doesn't drain water

Mr. Fusion 7 years ago updated by Tyler Owen (Lead Developer) 7 years ago 2

Either the reoxygenator doesn't drain any water at all while producing oxygen, or the water reclaimer still produces water while turned off. Not sure which is the actual cause, but while the water reclaimer was turned off for over 30 hours while the reoxygenator was running during the same period, the amunt of reserve water never decreased (it was capped so I couldn't see if there was any positive change, but there was no negative change for sure).

Loaded a new game, found a remote outpost didn't get the achievement. The achievement does say temporary outpost so either i need to keep looking or there is a bug.

Portable solar panel charging while inisde exterior airlock

Mr. Fusion 7 years ago updated by Tyler Owen (Lead Developer) 6 years ago 4

The portable solar panel, when equipped, is charging the suit even while inside the exterior version of the airlock room. Granted, it's not completely dark in there, but not exactly bright either, so I'd regard this as an issue to be addressed.

Storm should affect solar panels further away from the center

Mr. Fusion 7 years ago updated by Tyler Owen (Lead Developer) 7 years ago 4

The dust storms currently seem to affect solar panel efficiency only extremely close to their center. I've gotten full recharge rate from a portable panel near a WayStat reporting 20%-ish visibility, and Hab systems were showing full recharge rate already while visual storm effects were still distinctly visible, with what I'd estimate as 70-80% or so visibility (the Hab was roughly half way on a line between a WayStat recently returned to 100% and one showing 48%, a little closer to the 48% end).

I think anywhere where the visibility is not 100% and there is any kind of storm effect visible, solar panels should be affected, with maybe a slight non-linearity towards the center.

Initial Mission Objective: Message about checking status does not go away

wrongwayjerry 7 years ago updated by Tyler Owen (Lead Developer) 7 years ago 2

When first starting out there is a message indicating that I should check the habitat status on one of the consoles in the airlock. I checked the status on both consoles and the message continues to display.

After I get one of the hab units online the message clears and I get a new message about fixing the other parts of the hab. The remaining messages seem to work ok.

Initial mission objectives - Heather should be Heater

Initial mission objectives - Heather should be Heater - when you look at the datapad the message has a misspelling.
