You are correct. Previously the solar power at each hab location was identical to the solar power at your player position, which would be incorrect if you were halfway across the map from the hab where power should be calculated. I fixed this in 0.59 so that the power at each hab location was relative to the local distance to the storm rather than the player's distance to the storm, but I forgot to remap the values to limit them to a lower bound of 15%. This will be fixed soon.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. I'll look into providing some touches that might help you personalize your habitats a little bit.

Hmmm... well I can't seem to replicate this right now. If you have a save file that can show it then that would be helpful, or if you can provide steps to recreate the issue.

Agreed that it wasn't a big deal, but it was also an easy fix, so it will be fixed in the full release of 0.59.

I'm looking into a post-processing image effect that will correct for readability issues like those experienced by individuals with colorblindness.

I had an incorrect limit check during sleeping. This should be fixed for 0.59 official release (you are playing on the public beta). Thanks.

I've made sure that the lens flare should now be completely invisible when you are near the center of the storm.

Unfortunately the other aspects that you mentioned are more dependent on the style of rendering I'm using for the day/night cycle. It's very difficult to find a realistic feeling transition to less sunlight during a storm. I've tried to lower the sunlight even more, but there is no reliable way for me to make the shadows more diffuse. Blurred and indistinct shadows are very difficult to achieve. Certainly something I can look into more in the future.

I'll certainly be revisiting some of these things in the future, but as far as I can tell in my testing, your solar panel charge rates are impacted as soon as the visual effects are visible. Of course, this is still relative to your distance to the epicenter, but it is there. I look forward to hearing more of your feedback after the 0.59 update.

I previously marked this as planned, but upon further reflection I don't think I want to implement this as an automatic function. I'd rather leave photo-taking as open ended as possible and give people the choice of using "flash" or not. In the future I could implement a toggle that would enable or disable an automatic flash, but I'll only bother with it if more people request it, so for now I'm gonna say declined.

Thanks. I've got this fixed now for 0.59 which should be coming in the next couple days.
